Free software is useful if it lets you complete your ordinary work. For a microbusiness, that means a clear process, few settings and access to its own information.

Check the whole task

Look at how a document is created, corrected before issue, sent for processing and found later. An Invoice button alone does not tell you enough about working through the whole month.

Also check that the program suits your particular business. Inventory, personnel and cross-border transactions may require different capabilities.

Read the scope of free access

  • How many companies and users can work in it?
  • Are documents or periods limited?
  • How do you close the previous year while starting the new one?
  • How long are attachments available?
  • Which features are additional and optional?

Consider collaboration

The owner and accountant have different tasks. Each should see what their role needs without sharing passwords. Clarify who can enter, change, confirm and download information.

Separate the software from the service

Free software does not mean an accountant works for free or that every obligation is fulfilled automatically. Check who is responsible for data, review, signing and filing. ACP's basic idea is for these people to work in a shared space with their own tasks and permissions.

Try it with sample data

Before moving real work, explore a demonstration and check document exports. Assess how easily you will find information a month later. This is more useful than comparing only the number of advertised features.
