There is no universal termination order suitable for every case. Before completing a template, clarify the facts and applicable legal ground.
Clarify the specific case
The parties' initiative, contract type and circumstances determine the applicable procedure. Discuss the case with an employment-law specialist, especially if there is a dispute, a protected category of employees or uncertainty about the legal ground.
Prepare the sequence of steps
Check which statements, notices, evidence and deliveries are required. Separate legal review from filling in the document. Generating an order does not prove that every prerequisite for termination has been met.
Connect documents with payroll processing
Provide information about the last working day, unused leave and other relevant circumstances in good time. Amounts due and their grounds are determined by the specific case, not only by a selected template.
Check registration and the archive
Arrange the required entry in the Employment Register and check the result. Keep the documents and evidence of the steps taken. This article does not replace an individual legal assessment or prescribe a universal deadline for every case.
Checked when preparing this article: 26 October 2026. Applicable rules must be assessed for the specific case.
